SEASON IN REVIEW: 2026 Women’s Lacrosse

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team competed in 14 contests including a spring break trip to the greater Philadelphia area in their second season in the SUNYAC in 2026 under Head Coach Adam Todd.

The Roos opened the season with back-to-back road wins at Alfred State and SUNY Poly on February 28 and March 4, respectively. The Roos outscored the host Pioneers 6-1 in the second and third quarters as Ava Bodnar led the offense with two goals and three assists in the win. Canton played stifling defense holding the Wildcats to just a pair of goals over 60 minutes in a 9-2 win. Kate Whitley recorded game-highs of four caused turnovers and nine ground balls in the victory.

Canton picked up its first SUNYAC win of the season with a 10-7 road win at Plattsburgh on March 25 as the Roos scored four unanswered goals in the final five minutes of the first half. Caroline Nappi recorded a game-high five points, Sydney Dunn and Hailey LaShomb scored three goals each, and Sara Aldous had a strong game defensively for the Roos in the win.

Laura Falandys tied a season-high with 14 saves (.609 save %) and Dunn and Bodnar recorded four points each against the Mustangs on April 15. The Roos outscored the Bears 5-1 in the fourth quarter to double up Potsdam in a 14-7 Senior Day win on April 22.
