Athletic Communications Student Assistant - APPLICATION

Assist the Director of Athletic Communications & Marketing with a variety of tasks ranging from live statistics at nearly every home sporting event, which usually requires at least two people, taking action shots of student-athletes at home events, shooting video footage at select games, editing and creating postgame interviews and highlights, working with social media, graphics and marketing or other duties assigned as needed.

Roos Sports Media - GENERAL INTEREST FORM

Roos Sports Media (RSM) is a student organization that provides a wide variety of fun and valuable experiences in the sports media industry. RSM is open to students of any major who have an interest in sports, graphics, photography, multimedia, video editing, play-by-play and color commentary and much more.

The mission of RSM is for students to increase their skills in the media and multimedia fields while being a part of an organization and group on campus that helps increase the student’s network and add pieces to their portfolio that will help them when finding a job post-grad.

Volunteer Women's Lacrosse Student Manager

Consider joining us as a Student Manager. SUNY Canton Women's Lacrosse is looking for dedicated, hard-working and willing to go the extra-mile individuals to help us make 2021 another successful season.

Job Duties:

Set up and break down practice sessions
Track stats during games & practices
Manage the team's social media accounts
Travel with the team to away games (including spring break)
Assist the Head Coach with practice prep and other duties as needed

Student Managers will typically work up to 10 to 12 hours per week during the season and less than that during the off-season. Students can apply via the Handshake app or by contacting Coach Todd at toddadam@canton.edu.

The SUNY Canton men's basketball is team is looking to fill the position of volunteer student assistant coaches. This position will provide students with an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at a highly functioning college basketball program. It will provide great experience for students looking to get into coaching or students with an interest in the sports industry.

The ideal candidate will possess:

1) A general interest and knowledge of the game of basketball
2) A great attitude
3) A strong work ethic
4) A willingness to learn quickly
5) Be available to work 12-15 hours a week, including nights and weekends.
