Sixteen Roos Named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District

Canton, NY – Sixteen members of seven different SUNY Canton teams have been named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams that were announced this spring.

The all-district teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC – formerly CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on their respective playing surfaces and in the classroom.

To be eligible for the honor student-athletes need to maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or started 66% of their team's matches. Individual based sports like golf and cross country have other criteria. Schools are limited on the number of selections they can have in various sports, including only six selections per gender in the at-large category (golf, hockey, lacrosse). Select Academic All-District honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
