Canton, NY – There were many memorable moments from the year of 2025 for the SUNY Canton Athletics department including participating in its 11th year as a full-time member of NCAA Division III and their second year in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) during the 2025-26 academic year. Below you can find one of the best moments for each of the Roos teams.
 
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (WBB): Bartle's Late Game-Winner Lifts Roos Past Plattsburgh and into SUNYAC Semis



Canton, NY – Natalie Bartle gave Canton the lead for good with 13.9 seconds remaining finishing the and-one to lift the Roos to a thrilling 61-58 win against Plattsburgh State in a SUNYAC First Round playoff game in front of a packed crowd on February 25th in the Roos House.
   
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (MGOLF): Rumble Shoots 4-Under, Sets New Program Scoring Record as Roos Win Clarkson Invitational 



Potsdam, NY – Freshman Raine Rumble fired a program record round of 4-under par, 68, to earn medalist honors at the Clarkson Invitational at Potsdam Town & Country Club on Wednesday. He bested the field of 39 golfers by four strokes to lead the Roos to a first-place team score with 301 strokes.
   
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (MHOC): Two Third Period Goals Lift Roos Past #7/8 Trine, 2-1


Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's hockey team scored a pair of third period goals to earn a 2-1 win against No. 7/8 nationally-ranked Trine University in the season opener for both teams on October 31st at Terry Martin Arena. Trine entered the season ranked seventh nationally in the United States College Hockey Online (USCHO) poll and eighth in the D-III Hockey News poll. The win is the third highest against a ranked opponent for the Roos in its history.
   
 
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (MBB): Six Score in Double Figures as Roos Net Season-High 98 Points in SUNYAC Win at New Paltz



New Paltz, NY – Six SUNY Canton players scored in double figures as the Roos used hot shooting to earn a 98-91 SUNYAC road win at SUNY New Paltz on January 21st. The Roos scored a season-high 98 points and shot a season-best 59% from the field and 47% from three-point range. The Hawks finished the season as the one seed and tournament host for the SUNYAC playoffs.
 
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (WHOC): Paswaters Scores 3-2 OT Winner, Roos Head to Playoffs


 
Morrisville, NY – Sophomore Isabella Paswaters scored two goals including the overtime winner to lead the SUNY Canton women's hockey team to a 3-2 victory over SUNY Morrisville on February 22nd and send the team to the SUNYAC playoffs.
   
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (WLAX): Canton Wins Thrilling Back-and-Forth Battle of Route 11 vs. Bears, Scott Stops Season-High 14 Shots



Potsdam, NY – In an exciting game showcasing momentum swings and lead changes, SUNY Canton pulled out a 10-7 come-from-behind victory in a cold blustery conference matchup over rival SUNY Potsdam on March 26th. With 14 pivotal saves Potsdam native Olivia Scott backstopped the Roos to their first-ever SUNYAC victory.
   
2025 HIGHLIGHTS (MSOC): Escobar, Blake Jr. & Raap Lead Roos Past Bears in Men's Soccer



Canton, NY – Chris Escboar and Demetrius Blake Jr. scored a pair of second half goals less than three minutes apart and Joey Raap recorded a seven save shutout to lead the SUNY Canton men's soccer team to a 2-0 SUNYAC win against SUNY Potsdam on October 8th.
