Canton, NY – Several SUNY Canton sports programs have announced general interest and tryout information to start the 2025-26 academic year.

Please note that before trying out every student interested in trying out must contact the head coach of their respective sport to make sure there is mutual interest prior to completing clearance paperwork. Please note that SUNY Canton's teams are extremely competitive, and all coaches may not offer open tryouts.

Below is a list of all sports who are currently planning on hosting a general interest meeting or tryout. If a sport is not listed they aren't currently planning to host an open try out, but if you have specific questions please feel free to contact that coach directly by visiting ourÂ

Fall
Esports
SUNY Canton Esports tryouts will take place from September 1st to September 12th. If you are interested in tryout out for esports or are interested in playing a specific title, please fill out the below form by August 28th. Esports Coordinator
Justin Brooks or a team captain will reach out to each player who fills out a form regarding a tryout date.

Women's Lacrosse
