Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball program and Head Coach
Cooper Colesante have announced their upcoming schedule for the 2025 season.
The Roos will compete in 29 matches with nine home games and nine SUNYAC matches in the team's second season in their new conference. SUNY Canton opens the season with four matches at the Keuka College Tournament on August 29th and 30th.
After a road weekend that includes a road match at Utica and two matches at the SUNY Delhi Tri-Match (9/6), the Roos host the North Country Classic (9/12-13). Canton will square off with VTSU Johnson on Friday followed by a pair of matches against Hilbert and Cobleskill on Saturday. SUNY Canton will close out their homestand hosting Paul Smith's on September 17th.
The following weekend sees the Roos play four matches in two days at the Oswego Tournament (9/19-20) before a midweek match crosstown at St. Lawrence (9/23). The team squares off with Poly and Hilbert in the SUNY Poly Tri-Match on September 27th.
SUNY Canton kicks off October opening SUNYAC play at home against Oneonta (10/3) and New Paltz (10/4). The following two weekends the team hits the road for trips to Potsdam and Plattsburgh (10/10-11) and Fredonia and Buffalo State (10/17-18).
The Roos continue league play with home matches against Cortland and Oswego (10/24-25) before wrapping up SUNYAC play at Oswego on October 28th. The team closes out the regular season with a pair of non-league games at home against St. Lawrence (11/7) and at Potsdam (11/8).
SUNY Canton will look to qualify for its first SUNYAC Tournament. The top six teams in the conference standings qualify for the playoffs with the top two seeds earning byes to the semifinals. The third and fourth seeds will host first round games on November 11th. The first seed will host the semifinals and championship on November 14th and 15th, respectively.
