HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Canton jumped to a quick 2-1 lead on a Coulter kill.  A Cruz kill kept the Roos in the lead early 6-5.  A six point Laker run midway through the set established a 13-7 lead for Oswego.  Four straight from the Roos, including a kill from sophomore McKenna Pelech, closed the gap to 20-17 Oswego, but the Lakers were able to close out the set 25-20.
  • Oswego led by four early in the second set before an Abby Raven kill made the score 7-4.  The Lakers extended their lead to 14-6 halfway through the second before Canton rallied, scoring four of the next five points to trail 15-10.  Oswego had a 24-16 lead late but three consecutive kills, two by Coulter and one by Cruz, got the Roos with 24-19.  Ultimately the Lakers won the set 25-19.
  • The Lakers again took and early led in the third set 9-4.  Canton scored seven of the next 11 points capped by a kill from senior Brooke Hite, cutting the Oswego lead to 13-11.  The teams traded points before a Laker run put the score at 23-16 and Oswego ultimately prevailed 25-19.
