Daycee Bane and sophomore
McKenna Pelech, both members of the women's volleyball team, have been named this week's Roos of the Week.
Bane averaged 3.14 digs per set over a pair of SUNYAC matches for the Roos last week. She opened the week with a match-best 17 digs to go with an ace and assist in a 3-0 loss against SUNYAC-leading Cortland (18-6, 6-0 SUNYAC) on Friday. Bane closed out the week with five digs and an assist in a 3-1 loss against Morrisville (13-10, 3-4 SUNYAC) on Saturday. Bane leads the Roos with 3.37 digs/set this season and has registered 256 total digs.
Pelech led the Roos averaging 1.14 blocks per set totaling 10.5 points, six kills and eight blocks over two SUNYAC matches last week. She opened the week with a match-high five block assists to go with two kills and two digs in a 3-0 loss against SUNYAC-leading Cortland (18-6, 6-0 SUNYAC) on Friday. She closed out the week hitting .444 with four kills and no errors on nine swings to go with a solo block, two block assists and a dig in a 3-1 loss against Morrisvlle (13-10, 3-4 SUNYAC) on Saturday. Pelech now ranks second on the team with 35 total blocks on the season.
