Bane, Coulter, Hite & Pelech Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

Canton, NY – Daycee Bane, Emerson Coulter, Brooke Hite and McKenna Pelech, all members of the SUNY Canton women's volleyball team, have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. 

The all-district teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on their respective playing surfaces and in the classroom.

To be eligible for the honor student-athletes need to be at least a sophomore or older athletically and academically and maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, have participated in at least 90 % of their team's contests or started 66 % of their team's matches.

Bane, a senior Applied Psychology major academically, appeared in 88 sets across 27 matches. She led the team with 3.39 digs per set totaling 298 digs on the season. The Gordonsville, TN native also ranked second on the team with 37 aces.

Coulter, a sophomore Criminal Investigation major, appeared in 94 sets across 29 matches. She led the Roos with 271 kills (2.88/set), 43 aces (0.46/set) and 309 total digs (3.29/set). She also registered a team-best .926 reception % and added 24 total blocks.

Hite, a senior Veterinary Technology major, appeared in 102 sets across 20 matches ranking second on the team with 180 kills (1.76/set) while adding 11 blocks defensively.

Pelech, a sophomore Homeland Security major, appeared in 87 sets across 25 matches totaling 60 kills while ranking second on the team with 42 total blocks (0.48/set).
