Box Score Keuka Park, NY – Host Keuka College scored 10 goals in the second quarter that helped lead them to a 23-10 victory over the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team on Friday.
Ryan Cardiff (Albany, NY) led the Roos (4-9) with three goals and one assist, while
Trevor Wight (Tierra Verde, FL) added two goals and an assist.
Jack Keenan (Potsdam, NY) led all players by a large margin with 16 ground balls and 19 faceoff wins.
Keuka opened the game with three straight scores but SUNY Canton responded with three of the next four tallies as Cardiff,
Mike Statt (Rochester, NY) and
Cam Carter (Colonie, NY) all got on the board. The Storm (12-0) led 4-3 after the first period.
The hosts exploded for 10 goals in the second stanza compared to just two for SUN Canton to open up a commanding 14-5 lead at intermission. The Roos would get within 20-8 in the second half after a Keenan score but that was as close as they would get late.
Dylan Dix (Rochester, NY) would stop 11 shots in the start for SUNY Canton, while
Corey Spuck (Rochester, NY) made five saves in relief. Cameron Gormel, Jacob Wood and Eric Saltrelli combined to make 12 saves for the Storm.
