Men's Ice Hockey Rolls Over Syracuse 4-1

(Syracuse, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team picked up their second win of the weekend as they beat Syracuse University 4-1 Saturday night.  The Roos improved to 7-1 in the Eastern Collegiate Hockey League and 12-10 overall.

SUNY Canton scored the first three goals of the game on Saturday helped out by a pair of scores from John Payne (Port Moody, B.C.) in the second period.  Payne finished the weekend with two goals and six assists after notching five assists in a 16-0 win over the University of Rochester Friday night.

Adam Fedor (Orleans, Ontario) added one goal and two assists for the Roos and Darren Camp (Canton, N.Y.) contributed one goal.

Jimmy Merrow (Plainsboro, N.J.) stopped 21 of 22 shots in goal for his 11th win of the year.

Brian Flynn scored for the Orangemen and Andrew Collinham had 23 saves.
