Men’s Hockey Releases 2026-27 Schedule

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's hockey team and Head Coach Alex Boak have announced the program's 2026-27 schedule. The Roos will play a 25 game regular season schedule that features 12 home games and 18 league games in the team's third season in the SUNYAC.

Following an exhibition, the Roos open the regular season with a weekend road series at Misericordia. The team will open its home slate when it welcomes Nazareth and Elmira to Terry Martin Arena on November 6 and 7, respectively.

The Roos open league play against Route 11 rival SUNY Potsdam on November 13 before traveling to a pair of perennial top 10 nationally-ranked opponents in Oswego (11/20) and Hobart (11/21). The Statesmen have won three of the last four national championships.  The Tuesday before Thanksgiving (11/24) the Roos host the Bears in non-league action. The game will start at 11 a.m. and will give area kids a chance to pack the stands and attend the game with their schools.

The team picks up play following Thanksgiving and wraps up the 2026 portion of their schedule with SUNYAC games at home against Morrisville and Cortland on December 4 and 5, respectively.

The Roos kick off the 2026 portion of the schedule at the Comfort Inn Complex Winter Classic hosted by Plattsburgh State on January 2 and 3. Canton opens with Connecticut College, while Plattsburgh squares off with Manhattanville. The consolation and championship games are scheduled for the following day.
