Softball Releases 2026 Schedule

Canton, NY – Head Coach Kelsy Waite and the SUNY Canton softball team have announced their 2026 schedule, which marks the team's second season in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
 
The Roos schedule currently features 32 total contests with 10 home games and 18 conference contests. SUNY Canton will play a doubleheader against each of the other nine schools in the SUNYAC.
 
SUNY Canton is scheduled to open its season with eight games in sunny Myrtle Beach during their spring break week from March 9th to 14th.
 
   
After returning to New York, the team is scheduled for a non-conference doubleheader at Houghton (3/26). The Roos open league play at Oswego on April 3. Once the calendar shifts to April Canton plays all SUNYAC games with the exception of non-conference doubleheaders at home against Clarkson (4/6) and at Delhi (4/20).  
 
Home league doubleheaders include hosting Plattsburgh (4/10), Potsdam (4/11), Cortland (5/1) and Morrisville (5/2). Aside from Oswego, road SUNYAC doubleheaders are scheduled at Buffalo State (4/17), Fredonia (4/18), Oneonta (4/24) and New Paltz (4/25).
 
The top six teams qualify for the SUNYAC Championship tournament which is scheduled for Thursday (5/7) through Saturday (5/9). The top two seeds earn byes to the SUNYAC Final Four double elimination tournament. The three seed plays the six seed and the four seed squares off with the five seed in single elimination play to qualify for the final four double elimination tournament. The entire SUNYAC Softball Tournament will be hosted by the No. 1 seed.
