Canton, NY – Summer Foster led the women's cross-country team and set a career-high and
Kristian Johnson led the men's cross-country team in the final races of the year at the Mideast Regionals hosted by St. Lawrence University on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Johnson led the runners on the men's side with a time of 28:37 (5:39/mile) in the 8-kilometer-long course. The junior finished in 121st place among the 179 runners to cross the finish line.
- Wyatt Beers was the second Roo across the finish line with a 33:39 mark. Rounding out the top five were Matthew Pietryka (35:08), Jonathan Bedward (37:00), and Justin Bormann (38:02).
- The Roos finished in 26th place out of 26 teams with a score of 800 points right behind Salve Regina who had 763. Renssalaer finished at the top of the podium with 44 points after placing five runners in the top 15.
- Nathan Tassey from Roger Williams was the top finisher with a time of 25:06.
- In her first race of the season, Summer Foster finished with a time of 28:00 in the 6-kilometer-long course. She was the first Roo to cross the line and was 156th out of 185 runners.
- Brielle Smith finished right behind Foster with a time of 28:18. Jenna Leshkevich and Kylie Rivera also finished with times of 32:24 and 43:28, respectively.
- Audrey Maclean crossed the finish line at 21:22 to lead all runners on the women's side. Williams easily won the race with a team score of 39. Middlebury came in second with 96 points.
