Oswego, NY – Anthony Marion carded a round of 8-over par, 79, on Saturday and sits in a tie for third place after the opening round of the two-day, 36-hole Oswego State Spring Invitational.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marion went out with a 39 and came home with a 40 as he posted a birdie and nine pars on his round. Marion is tied with two other players in third place out of 39 golfers. SUNY Delhi's Tom Christoffersen leads the field with a 74, while Nazareth's Vincent Falgiatano is second with a 78.
• Brody Fuhrey sits in 18th following a round of 85 (39-46) as he tallied eight pars. John McCall registered an 86 (43-43) with nine pars. Jayden Romig rounded out the Canton players with a 99 (48-51).
• The Roos are tied for seventh after the opening round with Oswego State's B team at 349 strokes. SUNY Delhi leads the team competition with a 315 on Saturday.

The Roos are back in action for the final round of the Oswego State Spring Invitational on Sunday at Oswego Country Club at 10:30 a.m.
