Rumble Inside Top 10, All Four Roos Show Improvements in Day 2 of Oswego State Spring Invitational

Oswego, NY – Raine Rumble carded a round of four-over par, 75, to finish in a tie for sixth place, and each of the four SUNY Canton golfers improved their score from yesterday's round as the SUNY Canton men's golf team finished their season at the Oswego State Spring Invitational on Sunday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • On an anomalous 71-par course, Rumble was two-over par, 37, on the front nine and 38 on the back nine, consisting of three birdies, seven bogeys, and eight pars. The Empire 8 Rookie of the Year finished with a score of 151 across the two days, improving his standing from in a tie for eighth, to a tie for sixth out of 47 golfers.
  • Similarly to Rumble, Anthony Marion finished with a stroke score of 75 on day two, going 36 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine. Over the 18 holes, Marion dropped in two birdies, three bogeys, a triple bogey, and 12 pars. Marion improved by three strokes from day one, moving himself up two places to in a tie for 11th.
  • Rounding out the SUNY Canton competitors were Tyler Martin with a score of 85 (46-39), and Mason Dumas, who had a five-stroke improvement from yesterday with a round of 86 (43-43).
  • The hosting Lakers won the team event with a total score of 608. Russell Sage, who was in third after yesterday's results, passed up SUNY Delhi, beating them by one stroke with a team total of 615 en route to their second place finish. Ryan Arp of the Gators claimed the individual title with a score of 154 (74-71) after shooting on par during day two.
