Elmira, NY – Adam Szlamczynski carded a round of 8-over par, 80, to finish in third place individually leading the Roos to a second place team finish at the Elmira College Spring Invitational at Elmira Country Club on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Szlamczynski shot a 9-over 44 on the front nine but came home in 1-under 36 including a birdie on the par 5 10th hole to finish in third place out of 49 golfers.
- John McCall tied for seventh place posting a round of 87. His round was fairly even with a 43 on the front and 44 on the back. Anthony Marion tied for 15th place with a 90 (48-42).
- Cayden Cady's 93 (46-47) and Tyler Bedell's 96 (48-48) rounded out the Canton competitors on Tuesday.
- Oswego State won the team title with a 336 with the Roos (350) just 14 strokes back. Elmira's 'A' team finished third (353) with Sage (362) and Medaille (369) rounding out the top five of the eight competing teams.
- Sage's Austin Carpenter won medalist honors with a 77, while Elmira's Christian Babcock was second with a 78.
