Raine Rumble was one shot back with a 77 as the SUNY Canton men's golf team teed it up on Sunday afternoon in the opening round of the St. John Fisher Spring Invitational at Cobblestone Creek Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marion was three over on the front nine and one over on the back nine finishing his round with one birdie and 12 pars to sit in a tie for fourth place out of 27 golfers.
- Rumble shot 39 on the front nine and 38 on the back with three birdies and seven pars as he is in sixth place after 18 holes.
- Mason Dumas carded a round of 89 (47-42) with five pars, while Tyler Martin rounded out the Canton scorers with a 92 (47-42) in 22nd place as he finished with four pars.
- Kyle Murphy registered a round of 94 (47-47) competing as an individual, while Owen Sacks had a 96 (49-47).
- The Roos sit in fourth place out of the four team field with 334 strokes. St. John Fisher is first with a team score of 307, while Nazareth is second (315) and Oswego is third (324).
