Adam Szlamczynski posted a round of 3-over-par, 74, to sit in a tie for fourth place out of 63 golfers after the opening round of the two-day, 36-hole Oswego State Fall Invitational.
Szlamczynski is just three strokes out of first place, while the Roos sit in a tie for fourth place out of the 12-team field after 18 holes of play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Szlamczynski finished with a team-best four birdies on the day as he ranked second in par 5 scoring (4.67) and tied for fourth in par 3 scoring (3.25).
- Sam Martin is tied for 13th after carding an opening round 79. He finished his day with 10 pars, which is tied for third in the field and the team lead. Jake Hess finished with an 81 posting 9 pars. Â
- John McCall tallied an 85 on Saturday and is tied for 40th, while Gavin Neuland posted an 87 in his hometown and is currently tied for 45th. McCall tied a team-best with 10 pars on the round.
- SUNY Canton is tied with SUNY Delhi for fourth place with 319 strokes, marking a season-low round for the team. The Roos and Broncos are right on the heels of third place Oswego State (317) and second place Clarkson (315). Hamilton leads all teams by 18 strokes posting a 293.
