Stowe, VT – Junior
Adam Szlamczynski carded a round of 7-over par, 79 to finish in sixth place out of 25 golfers at the NVU-Johnson Invitational at Stowe Country Club on Thursday.
The Roos finished with a team score of 330 strokes to place fourth out of the five team field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Seniors Jake Hess and Gavin Neuland weren't far behind Szlamczynski posting rounds of 83 to tie for 12th.
- Sam Martin registered an 85, while John McCall tallied a 90 in his first collegiate round with the Roos.
- Castleton won the team title with 311 strokes edging out Gordon College by one. NVU-Johnson finished third (326), while Norwich (341) rounded out the competing teams.
- Adiance Cheromiah won medalist honors for the Badgers with a 1-over par 73, while Castleton's Nick Ojala and Gordon's Owen Ingram tied for second with 74's.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos return to the course on Saturday when they tee it up at 1 p.m. for the first day of the St. Lawrence Invitational at Appleton Golf Course.
