Canton, NY – Head Coach
Lindsey Coleman and the SUNY Canton softball team have announced their 2022 schedule, which marks the team's fourth season in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).
The Roos schedule features 38 total contests with 14 home games and 16 conference contests. SUNY Canton will play a pair of doubleheaders against each of the other four schools in the NAC West. The Roos are currently scheduled for 14 doubleheaders with 10 single games during their spring break trip.
SUNY Canton is scheduled to open its season on March 13th in Florida as part of their 10 game spring break trip. The Roos will play 10 different opponents over a six day stretch with one off day mixed in.
The Roos return to New York in late March with a doubleheader at crosstown St. Lawrence. The Roos beat the Saints last year 11-3 to open their season. Canton is slated to host Alfred State in its home opener on March 30th. The team will then visit Clarkson on April 2nd before opening NAC play at Cazenovia (4/8-9).
SUNY Canton will host NVU-Johnson in a non-conference doubleheader on April 13th before visiting SUNY Poly for four games on April 15th and 16th. The Roos visit SUNY Potsdam (4/21) before closing the regular season with 10 straight home games with five doubleheaders v. SUNY Cobleskill (4/22-23), St. Lawrence (4/26) and SUNY Delhi (4/29-30).
The NAC Championship tournament is scheduled for Friday (5/6) through Sunday (5/8). It will be hosted by the top seed in the NAC East with the top three seeds from each division (West/East) qualifying for the tournament.
