Jake Hess carded a round of 4-over par, 76, to finish in third place at the Lou Jarvis Memorial as the SUNY Canton men's golf team posted a second place finish on Saturday at Jay Peak Resort Golf Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hess led the Roos for the third time in seven events this season as he was just three strokes off the pace set by SUNY Delhi's Thomas Christoffersen who shot a 73. NVU-Johnson's Michael Amendola finished second with a 75.
- Adam Szlamczynski, Anthony Marion and John McCall all recorded rounds of 82 to tie for seventh place. Gavin Neuland finished with a round of 85 to place 13th out of 20 golfers.
- SUNY Delhi won the team competition with 311 strokes with the Roos placing second with 322. The host Badgers were third with 349 strokes, while SUNY Cobleskill had three players compete as individuals.

The Roos return to the course on Tuesday when they take part in the SUNY Poly Invitational at Teugega Country Club.
