Allen Races to Top Seven Finish at NAC Championship; Named First Team All-Conference

Waterville, ME – Senior Katlynn Allen raced to a seventh-place finish to lead the SUNY Canton women's and men's cross country teams at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship hosted by Thomas College in Maine on Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Allen covered the 5-kilometer course in a time of 23:55 to finish in seventh place individually out of the 69-runner field. As a result of her top seven finish Allen was named NAC First Team All-Conference. Lydia Snow wasn't far behind crossing the line in 16th place in a time of 25:11. 
  • Lailah Emad posted a 48th place showing (29:49), while Malyssa Shenko (65th – 40:47) and Taylor Brassard (67th – 50:30) rounded out the Canton runners.
  • The Roos finished in fifth place out of 10 teams with a score of 172. SUNY Delhi took home the team title with 46 points followed closely by Husson (49). Maine Farmington (88) and SUNY Poly (120) rounded out the top four.

  • Ben York led the Canton men covering the 8-kilometer course in 31:56 to finish in 40th place out of the 86 runner field. Ryan Duester was the second Roo across the line in 61st place (34:38) just ahead of Owen Kuca (63rd – 34:44).
  • Brogan LaRose (65th – 35:02), Daniel Ryhal (68th – 35:41), Tyler Fuentes (76th – 36:57) and Jonah Black (85th – 48:30) rounded out the Roo runners.
  • SUNY Canton finished in ninth place out of 10 teams with 258 points. SUNY Cobleskill won the team title with 31 points, followed by SUNY Delhi (54) and Husson (88).
