Kate Whitley recorded game-highs of five caused turnovers and four ground balls, but visiting Fredonia earned a 14-6 SUNYAC victory in women's lacrosse action on Friday afternoon in Canton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fredonia jumped out to an early lead scoring three unanswered goals over the first six plus minutes including a pair from Katie O'Brien.
- Sydney Dunn got the Roos on the board when she caged her 13th goal of the season with 8:01 left in the first. The Blue Devils took a 3-1 lead after 15 minutes of play.
- Bodnar got Canton within one early in the second when she scored her 13th of the season off a feed from Caroline Nappi with the player advantage.
- The visitors rattled off four straight goals, as Mieley Baran had a hand in all four with three goals and an assist, to open a 7-2 advantage with 9:13 left in the second stanza.
- Canton scored two of the next three, with Bodnar converting off a free-position shot and Sienna Hillicke registering her fourth of the season with the player advantage. Fredonia led 8-4 at intermission. Â
- The Blue Devils held a slim 2-1 scoring advantage in the third quarter as Hailey LaShomb netted her 10th of the season for the Roos. The visitors led 10-5 after three.
- Bodnar scored Canton's lone goal of the fourth quarter, her third of the game and 15th of the season, for the 14-6 final.

- Bodnar paced Canton with three goals, while Nappi tallied three assists and two ground balls. Dunn added a goal and assist to go with four draw controls. Sara Aldous picked up a game-best five draws, while Whitley recording game-highs of five caused turnovers and four ground balls to go with two draw controls.
- Baran paced the Devils with six goals and two assists, while O'Brien scored three times and caused three turnovers. Noelle Mendez, Gabby Lewinski and Leah Kunisch recorded three draw controls each.
- Fredonia held the upper hand in shots on goal (22-14) and ground balls (18-16), while Canton had a slim 12-10 edge in draw controls. The Devils were 19-for-21 on clears, while Canton was 15-for-19.
- Ashleigh Manns made eight saves in the win for Fredonia, while Laura Falandys turned aside eight shots in defeat for Canton.
