Syracuse, NY – 129 SUNY Canton student-athletes have been named to the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the 2024-25 academic year. To earn the recognition student-athletes must earn a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA) for the 2024-25 academic year as reported by the institution's compliance director.
 
The men's hockey team led the way for Canton with 24 student-athletes recognized, while women's basketball had 15 and women's hockey 14 recognized. The baseball team had 12 student-athletes earn recognition with women's soccer and women's lacrosse seeing 11 each honored.
 
Seven different dual sport athletes were recognized: Kamryn Barnes (women's soccer, women's hockey), Sarah Balcom (women's volleyball, softball), Andrea Cary (women's soccer, softball), Hunter LaValley (men's soccer, baseball), Torie Moore (women's basketball, softball) Mayella Rubin (women's soccer, women's cross country), Nolan Sullivan (men's soccer, men's basketball).
