SUNY Canton Raises Over $2,100 for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center with 5K Walk/Run

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's soccer and men's hockey teams hosted a Cancer 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, on SUNY Canton's campus. The event was in loving memory of two parents of SUNY Canton student-athletes: Autumn Thomas (colon cancer) and Andrea Pringle (brain cancer) who passed away after battling cancer.

Through generous support from over 60 registrants and donations at registration, during and following the event SUNY Canton helped raise over $2,100 in donations to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, a place where Chloe Thomas' mother Autumn spent a lot of time during her battle with cancer.

SUNY Canton plans to host a similar event to this again next spring.
