Canton, NY – Twelve members of the SUNY Canton men's and women's hockey, lacrosse and women's golf teams have been named to the Academic All-District At-Large teams..
The all-district teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on their respective playing surfaces and in the classroom.
To be eligible for the honor student-athletes need to maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or started 66% of their team's matches. Individual based sports like golf and cross country have other
criteria. Schools are limited on the
number of selections they can have in various sports, including only six selections per gender in the at-large category (golf, hockey, lacrosse). Select Academic All-District honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Brendan Morrow,
Scott Cremen,
Reilly McKinnon and
Jack Seamans from the men's hockey team were recognized, while
Kamryn Barnes,
Danika Lalonde and
Kyra O'Keefe from the women's hockey team were honored.
Maddy Caron and
Olivia Scott from the women's lacrosse team earned accolades, while
Hayden Todd and
Tyler Scott from the men's lacrosse team were recognized.
Gwendolyn Glennon from the women's golf team was the final student-athlete honored.
Morrow, a senior captain and Civil and Environmental Engineering major, ranked second on the team with 20 points and 15 assists to go with five goals. The captain finished the season with a team-best +5 on-ice rating and registered four multi-point games including three assists in a 5-1 win against Potsdam (12/1/24). He was one of two male seniors in the graduating class to tie for the highest cumulative GPA entering his final semester.
Cremen, a junior Management major, ranked third on the team in points (18) and assists (14) as a defenseman as he appeared in all 26 games scoring three power play goals which ranked second for the Roos.
McKinnon, a junior captain and Industrial Technology Management major, recorded nine points on five goals and four assists. A defenseman, he led the team with 26 blocked shots appearing in all 26 contests.
Seamans, a junior captain and Finance major, registered a goal and three assists appearing in all 26 contests as he blocked 16 shots.
Barnes, a senior Sports Management major, appeared in all 26 games registering five points on two goals and three assists. She led the team with 33 blocked shots and two power play goals.
Lalonde, a junior captain Nursing major, ranked second on the team with nine points and five assists to go with four goals appearing in all 26 contests.
O'Keefe, a junior assistant captain and Sports Management major, tallied three goals and 15 blocked shots appearing in 24 games.
Caron, a senior Nursing major, had a monster senior season and career for the women's lacrosse team. She finished the season ranking extremely high in a number of statistics in the SUNYAC including: first in shots on goal (101), second in goals (63), second in draw controls (108) and third in points (79). Caron, who carries a 3.77 cumulative GPA after the fall 2024 semester, will graduate with a number of program records including: career goals (252), career draw controls (446), single-season goals (73 – 2024) and single-season draw controls (129 – 2023). The senior was named the SUNYAC Offensive Athlete of the Week (3/17/25). Caron was named to the SUNYAC Second Team All-Conference after the season as she scored five or more goals in nine different games. She helped lead the team to three NAC championships and three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances during her career.
Olivia Scott, a senior Legal Studies major, earned SUNYAC Second Team All-Conference honors. She finished first in the SUNYAC in save % (.481) and second in saves (136). Scott finishes her Canton career with a 25-22 record owning the single-season saves (166 – 2023) and single-game saves (23 – 4/12/25 vs. Oneonta) records. She has the second most wins of any goalie in the Roos D-III program history (23) as she finished the 2025 season with double digit saves on six occasions.
Todd, a junior Health and Fitness Promotion major, started all 13 games he appeared in goal registering a .486 save % logging over 640 minutes of action. He set the single-game program saves record stopping 35 in a loss against Cortland on April 12th. Todd currently ranks second all-time with 546 career saves.
Tyler Scott, a junior Electrical Engineering Technology major, started all 13 games for the Roos tallying six ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Glennon, a senior Homeland Security major, has been the Roos top women's golfer throughout her career and twice earned the Northeast Women's Golf Conference's (NWGC) Elite Academic Award which is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the championship. She finished in a tie for 12th place out of 52 golfers at the 2025 NWGC Championship.
