Dupee & Marion Named Roos of the Week

Canton, NY – Ava Dupee, a freshman on the women's lacrosse team, and Anthony Marion, a junior on the men's golf team, have been named this week's Roos of the Week.

Dupee had a big week registering 11 points on six goals and five assists to go with four ground balls and three caused turnovers leading the Roos to an unbeaten 2-0 week in conference play. She opened the week with three goals, one assist, three ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 20-3 win against Morrisville on Tuesday. Dupee followed that up with game-highs of seven points and four assists to go with three goals and a ground ball in a 15-6 win against Plattsburgh on Friday.

Marion shot a two-day 36-hole total of 10-over par, 154, on Friday and Saturday at the spring portion of the 2024-25 Empire 8 Championship at Lebanon Country Club. The junior shot 7-over par on Friday and 3-over par on Saturday, tied for the second lowest round on the course on Saturday. He tied for third out of 48 golfers competing in the spring portion of the E8 championship. Only players who played all four rounds of the championship (two rounds in October 2024 and two rounds in April 2025) were eligible for the individual title. On Friday Marion went out in 41 and came home in 38 posting 11 pars. On Saturday he recorded three birdies and nine pars to shoot 75 (38-37).
