Rochester, NY – After another strong week on the links and his first win of the season, senior Anthony Marion has been tabbed the Empire 8 Men's Golf Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Marion earned medalist honors at the 36-hole Nazareth Fall Invitational shooting a two-round total of 146 (+2) on Sunday and Monday at Ravenwood Golf Club and Locus Hill Country Club, respectively. The senior shot 72 (E) on Sunday with three birdies shooting one under on the front nine and one over on the back. On Monday he posted a round of 74 (+2) with three birdies shooting two over on the front and even on the back. Marion bested the field of 33 golfers edging out his teammate Raine Rumble by a single stroke as the Roos tied for second place out of the six teams with 622 strokes (305-317). The win is the first of the season for Marion and it is the fifth event he has finished in the top three individually so far this season.

This is the third time Marion has earned the recognition as he also earned player of the week honors on September 2nd and September 22nd and teammate Raine Rumble earned the accolade on September 9th.
