Westfield, MA – Gwendolyn Glennon shot a round of 90 to lead the SUNY Canton women's golf team at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Invitational on Saturday at Teoka Country Club.
Saturday's round was originally scheduled to be played at nearby Shaker Hills Country Club but moved to Tekoa due to rain and course conditions.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Glennon's round of 90 (46-44) tied her for 11th place overall out of 43 golfers. Maddy Thompson carded a score of 106 (57-49) improving by eight strokes on the back nine to finish in 27th place.
- Raven Murphy tallied a score of 123 (60-63) placing 37th, while Olivia Drino rounded out the Roos scorers with a 125 (62-63). Rowan Cady posted a score of 139 (69-70) for Canton.
- The Roos finished in seventh place out of the eight team field with a 444, edging out eighth place Westfield State (452). Suffolk won the team title with 331Â strokes ahead of Geneseo (361) and Husson (363).
- Suffolk's Isabel Smith and Geneseo's Jillian Draper tied for first with scores of 8-over par 79.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos tee it up again on Sunday in the NWGC Fall Classic at Tekoa Country Club at 9 a.m. Sunday's outing is a separate event from Saturday's although it will be held at the same course. Â
