Anthony Marion recorded a final round 75 and freshman
Gwendolyn Glennon improved her second round by five strokes as the duo finished in fourth (151) and 18th places (187), respectively at the two-day, 36-hole St. Lawrence Invitational at Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN
- Marion was consistent on both days of the tournament, with his 75 one stroke better than the previous day.
- Senior Adam Szlamczynski and junior John McCall both turned in similar performances, with Szlamczynski shooting an 82 (163), one stroke higher than Saturday and McCall carding an 83 (166) both days. Szlamczynski finished tied for 25th and McCall was tied for 34th.
- Freshman Brody Fuhrey scored a 90 on day 2 (175) and sophomore Tyler Bedell finished with a 92 (180).
- The Roos finished in eighth place out of the nine team field with 655 strokes. St. John Fisher won the team title with 591 strokes, while the St. Lawrence 'A' team (607) and Clarkson 'A' team (618) rounded out the top three.
HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN
- Glennon's improvement on day two allowed her to card a 91 and jump two spots to finish oph18th.
- Sophomores Maddy Thompson and Olivia Drino scored a 109 (220) and 120 (249) respectively to finish in 30th and 33rd place.
- Sophomore Raven Murphy and freshman Rowan Cady rounded out the scores with a 131 (263) and 157 (345) respectively.
- The women's team finished in sixth place with 919 strokes. Ithaca won the team title with 652 strokes, with SUNY Cortland in second place at 669 strokes and St. John Fisher rounding out the top three at 729 strokes.

The SUNY Canton men's team will hit the links at Potsdam Town & Country Club at the Clarkson Invitational on Tuesday, September 7
th at 11 a.m. The women's team will participate in the Hamilton Invitational at Skenandoa Golf Club on Saturday, September 9
th at 12:30 p.m.
