Gwendolyn Glennon is in 20th place after the opening round of the two-day, 36-hole St. Lawrence Invitational at Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN
- Marion recorded a round of 4-over par, 76, nine strokes off the pace set by course leader RJ Juodaitis (67) from St. John Fisher. Junior John McCall finished the day with an 83 while senior Adam Szlamczynski carded an 84. Sophomore Tyler Bedell rounded out the scoring with an 88.
- The Roos are in seventh place out of nine teams with 331 strokes. St. John Fisher is first with a 295 with the St. Lawrence University 'A' team in second (305). Clarkson University's 'B' team is in third (314), Clarkson 'A' team is fourth (316). Oswego State (325) is fifth and the St. Lawrence 'B' team rounds out the top six.
HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN
- Glennon led the Canton women posting a round of 96 and sits tied for 20th out of 37 golfers. Sophomore Maddy Thompson carded a round of 111, while sophomore Olivia Drino shot a 129. Raven Murphy and Rowan Cady rounded out the Canton competitors with a 132 and 188 respectively.
- SUNY Canton is in sixth place with 468 strokes. Ithaca (316) leads the team leaderboard with SUNY Cortland in second (338). St. John Fisher (359), St. Lawrence (371) and Union (386) are in third, fourth and fifth places.

Both teams will hit the course for day two of the St. Lawrence Invitational, tomorrow at 9 a.m.
