Rome, NY – Maddy Thompson improved her score by 13 strokes on the second day of the Hamilton Invitational as the SUNY Canton women's golf team completed the two-day, 36-hole tournament on Sunday.
The first round Saturday was played at Skenandoa Golf Club and is par 74. Sunday's final round was played at Rome Country Club and par is 72.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gwendolyn Glennon fired a day two score of 93 to finish with a two-day total of 184 to place 43rd out of 64 golfers. Thompson shot a 105 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 223 in 58th place.
- Olivia Drino also improved on the second day of competition shooting five strokes better with a 116 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 237. Raven Murphy matched her 135 from Saturday on Sunday with a two-day total of 270. Rowan Cady rounded out the Canton contingent with a 180 in the final round.
- The Roos finished in 11th place with 914 strokes (465-449). Middlebury won the team title with 615 strokes (310-305) ahead of Hamilton's A (633-317-316) and B (634-322-312) teams.
- Middlebury's Audrey Tir won medalist honors with a two-day total of one over par 147 (74-73). Â
