Raine Rumble and
Kahontiio Lazore both were in a tie for sixth as the SUNY Canton men's golf team finished in second place out of five teams in the Keuka Spring Invitational at the Lakeside Country Club Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marion was two over par on the front nine (38) and six over par on the back nine (44) for a score of 82. He recorded eight pars and 10 bogeys across the 18 holes, with his +10-score putting him in a tie for fourth.
- Rumble posted a score of 85 (40-45) with two birdies, six pars, six bogeys, three double bogeys, and a triple bogey. Lazore joined Rumble in a tie for sixth places with 85 (43-42). He recorded two birdies, seven pars, five bogeys, three double bogeys, and a quadruple bogey.
- Mason Dumas finished in a tie for 16th with a score of 88 (45-43), and Sam Eells tallied 100 (46-54) in 30th place.
- Nazareth won the contest handily with a team score of 317 strokes. The Roos were at 340, edging Russell Sage (343), who finished third. Utica (361) and host Keuka (363) rounded out the field.
- The Golden Flyers had the top three finishers with Josh Anstett leading the field with 76 (+4).

The Roos will head back out to the links this weekend at Coblestone Creek Country Club for the two-day long St. John Fisher Invitational on Sunday and Monday.
