Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

Canton, NY – Head Coach Ryan Stevens and the SUNY Canton baseball team have announced their 2026 schedule, which marks the team's second season in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
 
The Roos schedule currently features 40 total contests with 10 home games and 18 conference contests. SUNY Canton will play a three-game series (nine innings each) against each of the other six schools in the SUNYAC.
 
The team is scheduled to open the season on February 21 when it travels to Houghton for a doubleheader. Canton is slated to square off with SUNY Poly for a doubleheader the following weekend. The Roos will head south to sunny Myrtle Beach where they are scheduled for eight games from March 7 to 13 during the school's spring break week. 
   
The team returns to New York for a non-league game against Elmira (3/17) before a road trip to New York City for a pair of doubleheaders against Baruch and Lehman at Lasorda Legacy Park. The Roos square off with Utica for a non-conference doubleheader on March 25 before opening SUNYAC play with a series at Oswego (3/27-28).
 
After a non-league game against St. Lawrence, the team resumes conference play with a road series at Cortland (4/3-4).  The Roos host SUNYAC home series against Oneonta (4/10-11), New Paltz (4/17-18) and Fredonia (4/24-25) as well as a non-league home game against St. Lawrence (4/14).  
 
The top four teams in the league will make the SUNYAC Championship tournament. A best-of-three semifinal series will be contested May1-2 at the higher seed with the best-of-three championship series played at the highest remaining seed on May 8-9. The winner of the SUNYAC Championship tournament will earn the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship Tournament.
