Raine Rumble finished second and senior
Anthony Marion was third to lead the Roos to a second-place team finish at the Lou Jarvis Memorial Invitational at Jay Peak Resort Golf Course on Monday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rumble went out in 41 before coming home in 2-under par, 34, to shoot a round of 3-over par, 75. He was just one stroke behind the individual winner Marc Bota from Lesley (-2). Rumble birdied holes nine, 15, 16 and 18.
- Marion posted a 41 on the front and an even par, 36, on the back nine for a 77 as he birdied the 16th hole to tie for third place out of 24 golfers.
- Lazore and Eells tied for 11th individually with rounds of 88 with Lazore shooting a 44 on both sides with a birdie and Eells carding a 43 on the front and 45 on the back with two birdies.
- Brody Fuhrey rounded out the Canton golfers with a score of 95 as he had one birdie.
- The Roos finished in second place with 328 strokes just behind first place New England College (325). Lesley was third (344) with MCLA (354) and host VTSU Johnson (370) rounding out the top five.

The Roos have a week off before returning to the links next Monday at the SUNY Poly Invitational at Teugega Country Club.
