Kahontiio Lazore sits in seventh place after shooting 75 at the opening round of the St. Lawrence Invitational at Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lazore carded a round of 3-over par, 75, going out in 41 before coming home in two under par, 34, with birdies on 12 and 15. He also had 13 pars, two bogeys and a triple on his round.
- Raine Rumble carded a round of 77 (T-16th) to start the tournament as he went out in one under, 35, and came home in 42. The highlight of his round came when he holed out for eagle on the 364-yard par four ninth hole from 148 yards. He also had birdies on holes five and eight but doubled hole one and quadruple bogeyed 15. Rumble registered 10 pars and three bogeys.
- Anthony Marion sits in a tie for 22nd place out of 70 golfers after shooting a 79. He went out in 40 and came home in 39 with a birdie on the sixth hole to go with 11 pars, four bogeys and two doubles.
- Brody Fuhrey is tied for 47th place leading the SUNY Canton 'B' team with an 84 as he birdied the par four 15th. Teammate Tyler Martin is tied for 55th with an 87, while Kyle Murphy is 62nd with a 92.
- Owen Sacks (94) and Sam Eells (96) rounded out the 'A' team with Eells recording a birdie on the fifth hole. Mason Dumas (96) and Dylan Braswell (98) concluded the competitors on the 'B' team.
- SUNY Canton sits in ninth place out of 13 teams with 325 strokes, while the 'B' team is 13th with a 359. Clarkson leads the tournament with a 301, while Hobart (305) and St. Lawrence (308) round out the top three.
