Canton, NY – Anthony Marion shot 72 (E) and
Raine Rumble shot 73 (+1) as the SUNY Canton men's golf team won their home invitational on September 18th at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club. Canton's team score of 299 won the event by four strokes and was just two strokes away from tying the D-III era program record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marion recorded a team-best seven birdies on his round shooting one-under on holes two, five, seven, 12, 16, 17 and 18. He shot 37 on the front and 35 on the back.
- Rumble recorded birdies on holes two, 12 and 17 to shoot a 73 and finish in a tie for third with a 37 on the front and 36 on the back.
- Kahontiio Lazore carded a round of 75 with an eagle on the par five 12th hole and birdie on hole 16 as he finished in a tie for sixth place out of 47 golfers. Sam Eells was the final scoring golfer for the Roos A team shooting a 79 (37-42) with birdies on holes two, seven and 16. Tyler Martin's score was dropped from Canton's top team as he shot an 88.
- Kyle Murphy paced Canton's B team with a 79 (41-38) as he birdied holes four and 14. Craig Vredenburg posted an 89 (45-44), while Dylan Braswell's 91 and Owen Sacks' 92 also counted towards the team score. Brody Fuhrey shot a 95 for the B team while Ben Wiley (T-20: 81), Mason Dumas (T-31: 85) and Harlee Besio (T-42: 91) competed as individuals.
- The Roos A team score of 299 is the lowest since the Roos shot a program record 297 at their home invitational on September 23, 2016. Clarkson's A team finished second with a 303, while St. Lawrence's A team was third with a 309.
- Kevin Dillon of St. Lawrence captured medalist honors with a round of 71 (-1).
