Delhi, NY – The SUNY Canton men's golf team teed off their fall 2025 season in strong fashion with a third place showing on Saturday at the SUNY Delhi Invitational at The College Golf Course at Delhi. Senior
Anthony Marion carded an impressive round of one over par, 73, to lead four Roos who shot 80 or better to start the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marion went out in even par, 36, and came home in one over par, 37 as he recorded 15 pars, two bogeys and one birdie on the day to finish in a tie for second place out of 66 golfers.
- Freshman Raine Rumble shot a round of 75 in his collegiate debut going out in 38 before coming home in 37. He recorded 13 pars, four bogeys and a birdie over 18 holes of action to tie for eighth place.
- Junior Sam Eels is tied for 21st with a 79. He went out in 41 and came home in 38. He tallied a team-best four birdies adding seven pars, three bogeys and four doubles.
- Tyler Martin was the final Canton scorer shooting an 80 (40-40). He registered an eagle on the par five ninth and added a birdie, seven pars, seven bogeys and two doubles to tie for 23rd.
- Owen Sacks rounded out the Roo golfers with an 84 in his collegiate debut tying for 37th. He finished his round with one birdie, seven pars, seven bogeys and three doubles.
- SUNY Delhi won the team title with a score of 296, while the Broncos B team was second (304). The Roos were third (307) with SUNY Delhi C (309) fourth. Russell Sage and Lesley tied for fifth with 316 strokes.
