Waterville, ME – Forty-two SUNY Canton student-athletes have been named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Winter/Spring 2023-24 All-Academic Team.
In order to be eligible for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must be participating members of their respective teams and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Member institutions are responsible for identifying eligible student athletes.
All-Academic Team honors are bestowed twice a year, at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters. The student-athletes on the Winter/Spring All-Academic Team represent the conference's 11 winter and spring sports: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's tennis, men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, and men's and women's outdoor track & field.
The Roos women's lacrosse team led the way with 10 student-athletes recognized, while the women's basketball (9), men's basketball (8) and baseball (7) teams were right on their heels. The softball (5) and men's lacrosse (4) teams rounded out those earning recognition.
Samantha Dayter was named to the All-Academic Team as a member of both the women's basketball and lacrosse teams.
