Canton, NY – Marley Sharkey, a freshman on the women's soccer team, and Madison Bigelow, a senior on the women's volleyball team, have been named this week's Roos of the Week.

Sharkey scored both of Canton's goals in a 2-0 road win at VTSU Lyndon on Sunday, the Roos first win of the season and her lone appearance of the week. She converted in the 42nd minute to give the Roos a 1-0 lead as she fired a shot high into the center of net from the middle of the box. The rookie then added her second goal of the game and season in the 67th minute converting again from inside the box to seal the win. Sharkey did all of this in just 32 minutes of action subbing off the bench in both halves and both of her shots were on goal and found the back of the net.

Bigelow averaged 2.43 kills, 2.43 digs and 1.29 aces per set hitting at a .265 clip (17-4-49) leading the Roos to a 2-0 week last week. She opened the week with four kills, a remarkable eight aces and four digs in a sweep at Paul Smith's on Wednesday. Bigelow closed out the week with a match-best 13 kills and 13 digs to go with two assists, an ace and block in a 3-1 win at SUNY Poly on Friday.
