Canton, NY – Samantha Dayter recorded game-highs of 10 points and seven goals to lead the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team to a 20-9 NAC win against Husson on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Husson got on the board first 1 minute, 35 seconds in when Averi Baker scored her 17th goal of the season. However, it was all Roos from there as Canton ran off six straight goals from five different players as Lindsey Wunder had two. The Roos led 6-2 after the first quarter.
- The Eagles got within 7-4 early in the second quarter, but three straight goals from Ava Reynolds, Maddy Caron and Dayter gave the hosts a 10-4 advantage at intermission.
- The teams scored three goals each in the third quarter with Canton owning a 13-7 lead headed to the fourth.
- The Roos netted the first three goals of the fourth quarter and added the final four scores of the game for the convincing victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Dayter led all players with 10 points and seven goals adding three assists and seven draw controls. With her seven goals today Dayter now has 180 career scores and is just three away from tying Robyn Carroll '16's program mark.
- Caron totaled four goals, two assists, eight draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Caroline Nappi posted three goals and three assists. Wunder chipped in two goals and three assists and Morgan Montgomery had two goals and an assist.
- Laela Martinez led Husson with three goals and one assist, while Maddy Benoit scored twice.
- Olivia Scott had a strong outing in goal stopping 10 shots on the day in the win. Emma Begin made 12 saves in the loss for Husson.
- The Roos controlled shots on goal (32-19), draw controls (19-12) and ground balls (21-16). Canton went 20-for-22 on clears while Husson was 20-for-26.

The Roos are back in action on Thursday when they travel crosstown to take on St. Lawrence at 4 p.m.
