Austin Mesler scored five of the Roos six goals, but the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team fell 15-6 in NAC action against SUNY Delhi on Senior Day on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Broncos outscored Canton 3-0 in the first quarter as Chris Lazazzaro found the back of the net twice.
- Mesler got the hosts on the board less than two minutes into the second stanza on an unassisted tally, his 38th marker of the season.
- From there Delhi scored three straight to take a 6-1 lead into intermission. The Broncos extended their consecutive goal streak to seven scoring the first four goals of the third quarter to open a 10-1 advantage.
- Mesler caged three consecutive goals to get the Roos within 10-4 at the end of the third quarter.
- The Broncos netted the first two goals of the fourth quarter to put the game away up 12-4 with less than 13 minutes to play.
- Tanner Amell and Mesler added fourth quarter goals before Delhi finished the game with three straight for the 15-6 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Mesler had a hand in all six Canton goals with a game-high five goals to go with an assist, four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Amell scored once and Caeden Goodnough dished out a pair of assists. Holden Hewlett picked up a team-high five ground balls and Pooler forced a team-best three turnovers.
- Jagger Beachak led the Broncos with four goals and three assists, while Lazazzaro had three goals and one assist and Benjamin Moscatiello scored twice and assisted another.
- The Broncos controlled shots on goal (25-12), ground balls (50-34) and faceoffs (14-11).
- Mike Triolo made six saves in the win for Delhi, while Hayden Todd posted 10 saves in the loss for Canton.

The Roos have a quick turnaround hosting Maine Maritime in the regular season finale on Sunday at 1 p.m. with a playoff spot on the line.
