Canton, NY – Kat McRobbie-Taru scored a team-high 22 points and
Torie Moore finished with a double-double, but Oswego State used a strong second quarter to earn a 74-60 win against the Roos on Saturday afternoon in the women's basketball team's first ever SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team led by more than three points in the first quarter as Canton held a slim 17-16 lead after 10 minutes of action.
- Oswego used an 11-0 run in the second quarter to turn a three point lead into a 14 point advantage. The Lakers led 42-29 at intermission.
- McRobbie-Taru paced Canton with 13 first-half points, while Sierra Pabo had seven. Shania Iglesias led Oswego with 10 points.
- The Lakers led by as many as 18 in the third quarter and took a 59-43 advantage to the fourth quarter.
- Canton used an 8-2 run to start the fourth frame to get within 10 but Oswego pulled away to earn the 14 point victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- McRobbie-Taru paced Canton with 22 points and added six rebounds and two steals. Pabo posted 12 points, five assists and three rebounds, while Moore posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds shooting 4-for-8 from the field including a 2-for-2 mark from beyond the arc.
- Macey DeOrdio led the Lakers with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Iglesias (14) and Sydney Hoefs (12) also scored in double figures. Giavanna White-Principio was a force in the paint finishing with six points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and four assists.
- Canton had the upper hand on the glass (47-38), but the Roos committed 13 turnovers compared to just seven for Oswego. The Lakers shot 44% from the field and 35% from three-point range, while Canton finished with marks of 33% and 28%, respectively.
- The Roos controlled second chance points (8-2), while Oswego had the edge in points in the paint (36-16) and points off turnovers (15-6).
