HOW IT HAPPENED

- After a pair of Golden Knight baskets, sophomore Sierra Pabo hit a jumper to put the Roos up 19-10. A Moore trey allowed the Roos to maintain their 10-point lead late in the second, but a last second jumper by Cassidy Dumont cut the lead to 28-20 at the half.
- Three McRobbie-Taru layups early in the third quarter had Canton leading 34-22, but a three-pointer by Clarkson's Fallon Griffin kept the Golden Knights in the game 40-29. A three-point play by McRobbie-Taru and a three-pointer from junior Hope Aniceto helped extend the Roos lead with the quarter closing at 51-39.
- The Golden Knights would chip away at the Roos lead in the fourth with a Dumont layup cutting the lead to 56-50. A pair of Aniceto free throws put the Roos up 62-54 but a Bella Doyle three cut the lead to just two points at 62-60. Doyle's layup just over a minute later gave Clarkson their first lead of the night, but a McRobbie-Taru layup tied the game at 64-64. Pabo hit a pair of free throws to give Canton the 66-64 lead but a Dumont jumper at the buzzer sent the game to overtime 66-66.
- The Roos had an edge in the extra session with a Pabo three putting Canton ahead 69-68. Solid free throws down the stretch, four by Pabo and two by Moore, were enough to put the Roos on top for the 77-72 final score.
