Reed Named to NAC West All-Conference Team, LaValley Earns Sportsmanship Accolades

Waterville, ME – Senior Ty Reed has been named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West All-Conference team, while sophomore Hunter LaValley was recognized on the Sportsmanship Team.

Reed, who was named to the West All-Conference Team at second base, hit nearly .300 starting 28 of the 32 games he played. He finished the season with 28 hits, 19 runs, two doubles, a team-leading six triples, a home run and drove in 18 runs. Reed had eight multi-hit games including two three hit outings. His only homer of the season and just the second of his career came in an 11-8 win v. SUNY Cobleskill on April 22nd. Defensively Reed recorded a .924 fielding percentage with 69 put outs and 52 assists.
   
LaValley was recognized as SUNY Canton's member on the NAC Sportsmanship Team. The NAC Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the baseball culture and game environment, and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that goes beyond lacrosse rules and etiquette.
