Canton, NY – Four Roos scored in double figures as the SUNY Canton men's basketball team closed out the home portion of its schedule with a last second 88-85 loss to NVU-Johnson on Senior Day on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team led by more than eight in the opening half as Canton held an early 11-3 lead, their largest of the game, after back-to-back threes from Terrence Fields and Levy less than four minutes in.
- After two ties and a momentary lead for Johnson the Roos regained a seven-point advantage (37-30) after a Brennan Harmer three with 3:23 left in the first half. Canton led 39-36 at intermission.
- The visitors took a seven-point lead (52-45), their largest of the game, five minutes into the second half.
- The Roos would regain the lead on back-to-back buckets from Levy and DuBois and Chambers-Phillips extended the advantage to four with five straight points for the Roos.
- Neither team led by more than four points the final 12 minutes in a highly entertaining game. Canton tied things up at 85 with 40 seconds remaining after DuBois split a pair of free throws.
- Malik View scored what proved to be the winning bucket on an old-fashioned three-point play with 15 seconds left. DuBois' last second game-tying three was just off the mark at the buzzer as the Badgers held on.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- DuBois led the Roos with 20 points, seven rebounds and four steals, while Levy tallied 19 points. Chambers-Phillips (15) and Fields (11) also scored in double figures with Harmer and Eli Larson chipping in nine and six points, respectively.
- View led all players with 29 points, while Yeskin Walker Williams added 20. Raymond Baka and Samuel Stephens chipped in 17 and 10 points, respectively, with Baka hauling down a game-high 15 boards.
- The Badgers dominated the glass 58-31 and shot nearly 49% from the field compared to 40% for the Roos. Johnson had advantages in points in the paint (56-30) and second chance points (20-8), while the Roos controlled points off turnovers (15-5) and bench points (15-6).
DuBois was also recognized with a ball for
eclipsing the 1,000 career point milestone earlier this season on January 7th in a pregame ceremony on Saturday.
