Potsdam, NY – Josh Marshall,
Jake Hess and
Gavin Neuland all recorded top 10 finishes shooting in the 70's to lead the SUNY Canton men's golf team to a second place finish out of seven teams at the Clarkson Invitational at Potsdam Town & Country Club on Tuesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hess and Marshall led the Roos with rounds of 5-over par, 77 to finish in a tie for sixth place individually. Neuland carded a season-low round of 78 to tie for ninth.
- Brendan Kanoza posted a round of 82 (T-15th), while Sam Martin rounded out the Canton top five with an 84 (T-19th).
- The SUNY Canton 'A' team finished with 314 total strokes, just three strokes back of tournament winner Oswego State (311).
- Clarkson's Gold squad posted a 319, while their Green team finished in fourth with 321. Mount St. Mary (331), St. Lawrence (33) and Canton 'B' (360) rounded out the competing teams.
- Clarkson's Casey Ditzel earned medalist honors shooting even par, 72.

The Roos have the week off before returning to action next Tuesday (9/14) when they host the SUNY Canton Invitational at Partridge Run Golf & Country Club at 1 p.m.
