New Hartford, NY – Senior Josh Marshall posted a round of 7-over par, 78, to finish in a second place, while leading the SUNY Canton men's golf team to a second place finish at the Utica Fall Invitational at Yahnundasis Golf Club on Thursday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marshall's 78 was just two strokes back of Utica College's Joe Miga, who earned medalist honors with a 76.
• Adam Szlamcynski posted a round of 84 to finish in a tie for sixth place, while Sam Martin recorded an 87, good for eighth place. Gavin Neuland also placed in the top 10 (T-9) with an 88. Jake Hess rounded out the Roo golfers with a 90.
• SUNY Canton finished in second place with 337 strokes, just behind first place Oswego State (332). Host Utica (350) and SUNY Cobleskill (409) rounded out the four competing teams. 

WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos are back on the links on Saturday when they take part in the Lou Jarvis Memorial Invitational at 12 p.m. at Jay Peak Resort Golf Course.
