Iida Laitinen have swept the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) Player, Goalie and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
MacIntyre, the NEWHL Player of the Week, had a monster week combining for three goals, three assists, two blocked shots and a +6 on-ice rating in a pair of wins v. Neumann University. The Roos improved their record to 5-0-1 on the season, their best start in program history. The senior captain opened the week with a goal and assist in a 7-1 win v. the Knights on Tuesday. MacIntyre closed out the week with a pair of power play goals, including the game-winner, and two assists in a 5-2 win v. Neumann on Wednesday. The senior captain now leads the Roos with 12 points and is tied for the team-lead with seven assists and two power play scores.

Alvarez, the NEWHL Goalie of the Week, combined to stop 35 shots and recorded a .921 save percentage and 1.50 goals against average in a 2-0 week for the Roos. The team improved their record to 5-0-1 on the season, their best start in program history. She opened the week with 16 saves in 7-1 road win at Neumann University on Tuesday. The junior followed that up with 19 saves in a 5-2 road victory v. the Knights.

Laitinen, the NEWHL Rookie of the Week, posted two goals and two assists to go with a +4 on-ice rating in a pair of wins at Neumann University. The Roos improved their record to 5-0-1 on the season, their best start in program history. This is Laitinen's second NEWHL Rookie of the Week accolade as she also
picked up the honor on November 2nd. The sophomore assistant captain opened the week scoring the game-winner in a 7-1 road victory v. the Knights. She followed that up with a goal and two assists including a ridiculous dangle and snipe that put the Roos up 4-0 early in the third period en route to a 5-2 win. The goal by Laitinen appeared on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 plays on Thanksgiving morning, November 25th. The Finland native leads the Roos with seven goals and is tied for second with 11 points this season.
